Featured Artists
Singer Josh Powell will make a special guest appearance with Stella for the Tri-College Party at the Fargo VFW on Friday, January 24, 2025. Josh has been at Concordia for three years studying composition, voice, and piano. We heard him sing in November 2024 with the Concordia Jazz Singers, and said, “Yeah, we need to get together.”
Keyboardist Max Devick performed with Stella October 14, 2023 on Midco Stage in downtown Fargo. Check out his new album “The Mind of Max.”
Saxaphonist Miss Emma has the distinction of being our first guest artist. She premiered November 12-13, 2021 at the VFW in Downtown Fargo. Emma is studied music at MSUM. She also plays piano and sings.
Mark Boetel, Drummer
Drummer Mark Boetel sat in with the band December 9 – 10, 2022 at Speck’s.
Mark, an entomologist, is a researcher at NDSU. In the wild, plant pests refer to him as “Dr. Death.”
We think he’s quite harmless. Either way, he’s a musical groove machine.
Dave Grosz is a highly sought keyboard player, performing with Dan Brekke, The Decades and a number of other Fargo cover bands. Known for his improvisation skills, Dave is a tremendous asset to any group. We were lucky to snag him through the summer 2023 Lakes season, while he rehearsed his next project.
